1/30/2017 OWF Event #107

OWF Event #107
January 30, 2017
Cincinnati, Ohio

The show opened up with Michael Graham and his client Deshaun Reed coming down to the ring. Graham guaranteed that whenever Blaine Edwards would man up and face off against Deshaun, that Deshaun would leave Blaine lying flat in the ring, carrying the OWF Title on his shoulder to the back. This brought out Blaine who got into the ring and got in the face of both Deshaun and Michael. Blaine said that he would defend the OWF Title anyplace, anytime. This brought Austin Briggs out who stopped what was surely about to be a brawl. Briggs said that he was saving this announcement until later, but that he might as well let the cat out of the bag now. Briggs then announced that Blaine would defend the OWF Title against Deshaun at OWF’s first pay-per-view, OWF We Earned This on February 25.

Jaqueline Aulstrike vs Kinley Bow
Kinley Bow put up a good fight. And last week her and her tag team partner defeated Jaqueline, but luck wasn’t on her side this time around. Aulstrike hit Bow with the Pop-Up Powerbomb for the three count.

The Tamatoas vs The Dixon Boys
A very hard hitting match that quickly turned into a brawl. The Tamatoas used a couple of high flying maneuvers, but Jeremiah Dixon planted Kanoa with the Tombstone Piledriver for the three count.

Courtney Kennedy vs Sierra St James
In just one of the chapters of the heated feud between Erika Storm, Hope Jamison and Courtney Kennedy vs Lisa Ann Graves, Nikki Griffin and Sierra St James, Courtney and Sierra squared off. A very good match that was fast paced and back and forth. Sierra hit a flying cross body block that got her a close two count, but it was Courtney Kennedy hitting the superkick for a three count.

After the match Lisa and Nikki rushed the ring to attack Courtney, but Erika and Hope were not far behind them to fend them off and assist their friend. Erika, Hope and Courtney stood proudly in the center of the ring, daring the threesome to step back in with them.

The scene cut backstage where Austin Briggs had more announcements regarding OWF We Earned This. First of all, he announced a six-woman tag match between the two teams we just saw. Erika, Hope and Courtney taking on Lisa, Nikki and Sierra. Briggs then also announced that Fiona Burke would be defending the OWF Women’s Championship, but he hadn’t decided on a challenger just yet.

JJ Perry vs Hunter Chase
A very technical match that the crowd loved to death. The Cincinnati crowd loved both of these men and wanted to see them both do well. JJ hit a springboard clothesline for a two count. He followed up with an Asai moonsault for another two. He then went up top and attempted a 450 Splash, but Hunter got his knees up just in time. Chase then hooked Perry in his finisher Chasing the Lion. Perry was in pain. After catching knees to the ribs, then being stretched like this, he had no choice but to tap. His first loss came at the hands of Hunter Chase.

After the match Hunter checked on JJ, helping him up and embracing him. Obviously the two had a tremendous amount of respect for each other. As JJ left the ring, Lafter came out from the crowd, got into the ring and clotheslined Hunter from behind. He pulled him up and planted him with a double arm DDT before leaving the ring with an evil smile on his face.

On February 25, one night before FFP Desperate Measures, the Ohio Wrestling Federation will present it’s first ever pay-per-view, OWF We Earned This. On this ground breaking show, we will also see the first ever class get inducted into the OWF Hall of Fame! You won’t want to miss this!

The scene quickly cut backstage where Fiona Burke was walking with her OWF Women’s Title on her shoulder. Juno Frost sprinted up from behind and laid Fiona out with a knee to the back. Fiona crashed to the concrete floor where Juno continued the attack with kicks and stomps until security split the two up. Juno kept screaming that she deserved to face Fiona for the belt at We Earned This.

Tadashi Akawa vs Hayden Flowers
Another really good match that saw back and forth action. Hayden stuck to his mat wrestling and technical style while Tadashi used solid kicks, high flying and ground and pound. Akawa went for the Michinoku Driver, but Hayden slipped out and hit a German suplex. Flowers then planted Tadashi with a split-legged Death Valley Driver for the three count.

After the match Dakudoragon came out on stage. He pointed to Hayden, and then made a cut-throat motion as if to challenge the former OWF Champion to a match. The show went off the air with Hayden in the ring, and Dakudoragon on the stage, the two men staring at one another.
